Clixflow | Onboarding Form
Background
Clixflow, is a website builder that lets users drag and drop to create websites—no code required.
To help their users get started, Clixflow wants to present users with a quick onboarding form that will customize the user’s experience and help them build the type of site they’re interested in.
Ask
Create a 4–6 step onboarding form that collects user data to help customize the product to the user’s intended use.
Key Considerations
The form needed to feel quick and non-intrusive.
Questions had to be clear for both personalization and marketing data.
Users needed to understand why they were being asked each question.
Solution
Kept each step single-purpose to reduce cognitive load.
Used conversational microcopy to set expectations and build momentum.
Ordered questions to feel natural, not interrogative.
Explained why information was being collected to improve completion rates.
Balanced business needs (segmentation, marketing) with user benefit.
Result
A conversational onboarding flow that personalizes the builder in five fast, focused steps.
